The Story Behind M.O.V.E.

Transitioning from military service is one of the most significant changes a service member can experience. After spending more than two decades serving our country, we experienced firsthand the challenges of preparing for civilian careers and finding meaningful opportunities after military service.

Our journey began in Army ROTC at the University of Montana and continued through 21 years of active-duty service both stateside and overseas. Throughout those years, we developed a deep appreciation for leadership, teamwork, and service—values that continue to guide M.O.V.E. today.

 

As sixth-generation Montanans, returning home inspired us to give back to the community that shaped us. We recognized an opportunity to connect transitioning service members and Montana employers in a way that benefits everyone involved.

That vision became Montana Opportunities for Veterans Everywhere (M.O.V.E.).

Today, M.O.V.E. partners with service members and employers to build meaningful SkillBridge opportunities, strengthen Montana's workforce, and help military families successfully transition into the next chapter of their lives.
