Each year, around 150,000 U.S. Armed Forces members transition from active duty to civilian life or higher education. The Department of Defense's SkillBridge program helps these Service members connect with civilian industries by allowing them to work with industry partners in their last 180 days of military service, all while the Department of Defense continues to cover their salary and benefits.  This mutually beneficial program supports service members in finding meaningful civilian careers, while helping employers recruit a highly trained and disciplined workforce.
